Hi,
We are using Study 1200 for some time now, and recently tested version 3. We want to use this in a classroom that is also used for self-study. We found out, and this was confirmed by Sanako, that the student client does not offer recording mode if not connected to the tutor. We are now looking for a work around, because we want to allow student to work in the room when there are no classes.
Until now, we have offered Media Assistant Lite to students for working at home. Media Assistant Lite is also available from our network. A Sanako employer who gave a workshop at our institution earlier this year advised us to use Student LITE instead of MA Lite. However, again acording to Sanako, the Student client and the Student Lite version do not work together well (I do not know what issues are known).
My question is: what strategy can we use to enable self-study in the Sanako Study 1200 classroom? Would Media Assistant Lite be a better solution than Student Lite? Or will the same issues make this combination problematic?
Thanks,
André Rosendaal

You live and learn. I will try to add the file for discussion directly to the forum/blog (the terms seem to be used interchangably here).
Please shae any comments you may have on the content. It's meant to be an easy, step by step guide to launching a listening comprehension activity in Study 1200, however I'm sure that more experienced users can help improve the process outlined.SANAKO Study 1200 Listening Comprehension.pdf
