• I write all the numbers that students can ring on the board. These numbers correspond to the logged in students and their respective computer workstations.
• Students call each other and pretend to be telemarketers. (Students take turns at this or I assign some students to be telemarketers and some to be customers).
• Students then ask customers questions about their likes and dislikes: "On a scale of one to ten, one being a lot and ten being not at all , How much do you like...?"(or) adverbs of frequency: "How often do you...?" Often? Sometimes? Rarely? ". Students write down their partners' responses.
• The structures you use will depend on the proficiency of your cohort of students and the language you want students to practise.
• After students have collected data from the class, I get students to individually record the results of their surveys using the DUO media assistant recording function. For example, "Three people said that they liked ... a lot. Two people said ..."
• I then play these recordings out to the class on the SANAKO class speaker for peer correction and feedback or I use one or two exemplary student's recording in the model student mode as a dictagloss transfer and then get students to work in pairs to reconstruct these students' reports.
