            <title><![CDATA[Why stop language learning activities once you leave the language lab?]]></title>

            <description><![CDATA[<p>The most successful users of our systems here in the Uk have been very successful in ensuring that students can use ICT to help them learn outside of the language lab as well as when using the lab.&nbsp; In order to achieve this the sites have followed several key actions.</p><ul><li>Digitised source material is made available to students via their VLE (web site), shared network folders or perhaps on CDROM - this material can then be accessed in the lab, the school and at home or even on the move?!</li><li>Many PCs are available within the school that have headsets and the Study LITE, Media Assistant SOLO software on them ... often located in the library or learning resource centres</li><li>Students are offered the ability to install Study LITE or Media Assistant LITE on their home PCs</li></ul><p>Some&nbsp;of the main advantages this offers are;</p><ol><li>Students who don't have time to finish the work in the lab can complete it (or perhaps have a second/third go at it!) outside of the lab in their own time</li><li>If a student did not understand the work (or perhaps missed the lesson) then they can play catch-up</li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p>]]></description>
